Racing Incident Report
Race Seven : (559) - NAKAYAMA HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 DRAGON FOUR SEAS (J317) H Bowman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 MOTOMAN (J436) J Orman Bumped at the start.
After the event, J Orman stated that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover from the 800 Metres and then failed to finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 HAPPY PARK (J311) Y L Chung Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when placed in restricted room between STAR BROSE and PRIME MORTAR which shifted out.
After the event, Y L Chung stated that his mount travelled satisfactorily in the early stages and came under pressure near the 500 Metres before giving ground in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY PARK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 6 STAR BROSE (J463) Z Purton Jumped awkwardly.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
In the early stages raced greenly after being shifted across behind runners.
Raced greenly when under pressure in the Home Straight.
Horse No 7 SAVVY TWINKLE (K067) A Badel On jumping shifted out and made contact with MOTOMAN.
In the early stages raced keenly when being shifted in to obtain cover.
Bumped near the 300 Metres.
Horse No 8 SHOTGUN (K111) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 9 NEW POWER (H325) M L Yeung Held up for clear running on the Home Turn and near the 300 Metres made contact with SAVVY TWINKLE when being shifted to the outside of MOTOMAN.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 ACCOLADE START (H331) M F Poon Shortly after the start was crowded between NEW POWER and HAPPY PARK which shifted out.
Approaching the first turn near the 1000 Metres shifted in and away from DRAGON FOUR SEAS, made contact with the running rail and became unbalanced.
Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of MEGA BONUS.
Horse No 11 FAIRY HORSE (J144) M Chadwick From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 12 SHINKANSEN (H277) K Teetan Approaching the 250 Metres was steadied when held up for clear running behind HAPPY PARK and as a result did not obtain clear running until after the 200 Metres.
Horse No ISLAND BUDDY (J217) A Atzeni Withdrawn on 1.4.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter SHOTGUN.
Before being allowed to race again, ISLAND BUDDY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Favourite Dragon Four Seas took control 100m out after taking the inside run for a third win and second on the bounce following a switch to the Valley. He's in a rich vein of form and should hold his own up in grade off a light weight. New Power got going late through the centre for second after a one-off trip from midfield. He looks close to a win with placings in two of his past three starts. Fairy Horse jumped out of his skin late to just miss a placing after making his run second last from gate 12. It was a pleasing effort up in grade after placing once at each track. Veteran Mega Bonus grudgingly gave way after leading as expected from gate one. He can steal a race at any moment after two thirds and a fifth in his past three starts. Shinkansen ran on steadily for fifth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He will be a force to be reckoned with shortly in Class Five over this Valley trip. Star Brose was doing some nice work late for sixth after making his run at the rear from gate 11. It was an encouraging run on debut but he's looking forward to a longer trip.
