
A 14-year-old Chinese martial arts prodigy skilled in using three knives has gone viral because of her dedication and passion for her craft.
Born in 2010, Xu Yuxi, from Putian, Fujian province in southern China, has been dubbed the “Three-Knives Girl”. She says the trio of ornamental weapons symbolise the country, the family and herself.
She has recently captivated the internet with her viral videos showcasing her mastery of her craft.
Xu developed a deep passion for traditional Chinese martial arts at a young age and currently trains at the Huangyan Martial Arts Centre in Putian.
In a viral video, Xu, wearing traditional Chinese clothing, uses decorative hairpins like knives and demonstrates quick and smooth movements with impressive accuracy and strength.
The “knives” she uses are traditionally known as Three Hairpins or San Tiao Zan in Chinese.
