[3] They were among Hong Kong’s top 10 for locals and tourists alike. The rest of the list includes Sai Kung’s public pier, which connects to the Unesco Global Geopark, the West Kowloon cultural district, the Mills in Tsuen Wan and Repulse Bay’s beach.
[4] Among the 10 most-photographed hiking trails, Dragon’s Back in Shek O Country Park came out on top. It was followed by Pineapple Dam around Shing Mun Reservoir and Sweet Gum Woods in Tai Tong. Other trails included Red Incense Burner Summit in North Point, Suicide Cliff in Kowloon, Sunset Peak in Lantau South Country Park, and the Wilson Trail, a 78km-long route through country parks.
[5] Google Maps already had a local guides function, but it also launched the shared list feature in Hong Kong last month. The new feature provides lists of recommendations from travel specialists like the city’s tourism board and KKday. This eliminates the need to switch between multiple tabs and simplifies travel research.
[7] Michael Yue is the managing director and general manager of Google Hong Kong. He said the lists showcased the city’s charm from unique perspectives. “We’ve been committed to continuous innovation to make Google Maps more helpful. Globally, as we celebrate 20 years of Google Maps, we’re thrilled to launch the shared list feature here in Hong Kong,” he said. “This launch is designed to further empower local residents and international visitors to explore Hong Kong’s diverse attractions.”
