Tells they were calm as a team when UP started well with the bat. Mentions it was pretty good to bowl as a spinner, the dew came on later on. Admits they just want to go to Mumbai and finish it off well.

Mar 06, 2025 23:12 IST

Harmanpreet Kaur says UP batted well but they failed to execute plans in the first six overs but they were waiting for their opportunity. Natalie Sciver-Brunt, the leading run scorer of this tournament, is up for a chat. She says they have got a lot of bowlers who can take wickets and it makes easy for the batters to chase and are comfortable chasing down. Tells the back of the hand delivery is a difficult ball to bowlbut she takes her chance with it, she might go for runs but it helps when it comes out right.

Mar 06, 2025 23:06 IST

Deepti Sharma says they are making similar mistakes in the middle order and need to focus on that. Appreciates the way Georgia Voll played. Mentions they just want to end the season well now. Feels they want to do well, but sometimes it dosen’t happen however, she always tries to up the game.

Mar 06, 2025 23:06 IST

Talking about the bowling department, UP were under pressure throughout the game. It was an off day, to be fair, for their bowlers, who didn’t execute the plan properly and leaked a lot of freebies. For Mumbai, they were under pressure too but they collectively come back stronger in the second half of the first innings to squeeze out UP under a par total.

Mar 06, 2025 23:03 IST

A convincing win for Mumbai! A change in batting order brings a change in results for them! The win was set up for bowlers and Hayley Matthews did her job perfectly to get crucial two points. For UP, they are realistically out of the competition but mathematically still not out. They badly needed to win this game but failed miserably in the second innings.

Mar 06, 2025 23:03 IST

Both the teams were in a similar position at the hallway break with the bat. UP were in a fantastic position with the openers putting up a good show but once Mumbai got the breakthrough, there was a sudden downfall and they lost 7 wickets inside 10 overs, adding just 51 runs. On the contrary side, Mumbai lost Amelia Kerr early on, but the duo of Hayley Matthews and Natalie Sciver-Brunt steadied the ship by adding 92 runs and almost putting the game to bed. Mumbai did lost a couple of wickets but a win was never in doubt.
