Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (430) - JASMINE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 MAGNIFICENT NINE (H433) B Avdulla Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 RICH HORSE (J191) B Thompson When racing keenly approaching the 900 Metres was steadied after improving to the inside of CIRCUIT MIGHTY.
Horse No 3 FORERUNNER (G465) H Bowman Approaching the 350 Metres was briefly held up when being shifted to the outside of MAGNIFICENT NINE to obtain clear running.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 TELECOM DRAGON (H322) M Chadwick Over the final 200 Metres lay in.
Horse No 6 MAGIC COMBO (K213) H T Mo Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 8 ROSEWOOD FLEETFOOT (J524) K Teetan On jumping made contact with the right side of its barrier and as a result lost ground.
Horse No 9 JOLLY JUMPER (K110) A Badel Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 10 LUCKY BLESSING (K073) T Marquand After the event, T Marquand stated that he was obliged to make some use of his mount to lead and as a result was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 YOUNG HORIZON (G272) E C W Wong Raced keenly in the early stages.
After the event, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to take up a forward position.
Trainer D A Hayes confirmed the instructions issued.
Horse No 12 CIRCUIT MIGHTY (G078) A Atzeni Near the 300 Metres became unbalanced when crowded between YOUNG HORIZON and MUSANG KING (K C Leung) which shifted to the outside of LUCKY BLESSING to secure clear running when there was not quite sufficient room.
K C Leung was reprimanded.
When questioned, A Atzeni stated that after being crowded near the 300 Metres his mount then lay in and away from YOUNG HORIZON and was reluctant to proceed to the inside of that runner and as a result had some difficulty obtaining clear running over the concluding stages.
Horse No 13 LUCKY GOLD (G112) H Doyle Near the 1300 Metres got its head up when being shifted behind MAGNIFICENT NINE.
After the event, H Doyle stated that after commencing only fairly her mount settled further back in the field and this was the principal reason for it not running on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Magnificent Nine travelled wide with cover from midfield, cruised to the lead 250m out and kept on gamely for a first win at his 19th local start. He's as honest as the day is long and relished a return to the level of a near win two runs ago. Forerunner ran on well for second after coming off the rail travelling midfield. He was able to back up a win last start. Beautiful Win ran on nicely to make it close for second after sitting wide with cover from behind midfield 800m out. It was another good run after finding the line a lot better in two prior starts. Telecom Dragon ran on well for fourth without threatening the top three after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was another consistent effort. Musang King kept on all right for fifth after a prominent run along the inside. It was a better effort at his second start. Jolly Jumper just plodded after a prominent run wide without cover from gate 11. He had an excuse.
