Horse No 2 QUICK MONEY (K377) C L Chau Jumped only fairly and was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 SPARKLE AND GOLD (K259) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 4 BABIECA (K326) K Teetan Blundered near the 400 Metres.
After the event, K Teetan reported that his mount raced greenly and when placed under pressure in the Home Straight hung in for a short distance.
Horse No 5 HYANNIS STAR (K331) L Ferraris Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 6 THE ALL OUT (K291) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.

Raging favourite The All Out was pressured for the lead for the first 550m by Hyannis Star but just held on by a bob of the heads over the oncoming Quick Money for a debut win. The advantage of four further trials and a five-pound allowance for two-year-olds was the difference in the end. Quick Money came on nicely to just miss after making his run at the rear from gate one. It was a good effort by the three-year-old off only one trial. It was a long way back to the two-year-old Babieca who kept on for third after sitting on the back of the leading pair. He will come on for the run. Hyannis Star was next best after prompting the pace underneath the winner. Like the latter, he should benefit from the run. Race outsider Sparkle And Gold never produced a whimper settling second last in the six-horse field. He will need more time and experience as will Motor who tamely faded after a prominent run.
