His skill, mentality and relentless style have taken him this far, and as he prepares to face Japan’s Shinji Suzuki at ONE 171 at Lusail Sports Arena in Qatar on Thursday, he has a message for his rivals: step up or step aside.
“I think everyone’s too boring,” he said. “I want to see more risks, more excitement, more fighters willing to go for it.”

ONE 171, which will feature Jonathan Haggerty defending his ONE Bantamweight kickboxing world title against China’s Wei Rui, is set to showcase some of the best striking talent on the planet.
