The trade ends a Miami era for Butler that will be remembered first for two trips to the NBA Finals and then three suspensions toward the end of a hostile break-up.
ESPN reported that Butler had agreed a two-year deal worth US$121 million (HK$942 million) and was part of a multi-team trade, in which Andrew Wiggins, PJ Tucker – via the Utah Jazz – and a protected first-round pick would head in the other direction.
Golden State trio Dennis Schroder and Kyle Anderson are reportedly moving to Utah and the Toronto Raptors respectively, while the Detroit Pistons are acquiring Golden State’s Lindy Waters III and Josh Richardson from Miami.

Miami released a statement, indicating an indefinite suspension, lasting a minimum of five games.
