Another Hong Kong flight cancelled as Heathrow Airport chaos drags on
‘This is an unprecedented situation, and we have not seen a closure of Heathrow on this scale for many years,’ British Airways CEO Sean Doyle says

A day after a fire at a nearby electrical substation knocked out the airport’s power supply and completely shut the facility down, Heathrow said early on Saturday it was running all flights as scheduled, including additional services to help with reconnecting passengers and repositioning aircraft.
The airport handles more than 200,000 passengers a day on average.
But a London-bound British Airways flight scheduled to depart at 10.45pm on Saturday was cancelled, according to Hong Kong International Airport’s website.
The website showed that four Cathay flights had departed by roughly 11pm, while the remaining one was scheduled to fly out before the end of the day.
