Woman critically injured, 10 others hurt in Hong Kong bus crash
Double-decker bus smashes into a road barrier on a highway in Tai Po

Eleven people have been injured, including one critically, after a bus crashed into a road barrier on a highway in northeastern Hong Kong.
Police said they received a report of the crash in Tai Po at 12.15pm on Wednesday. The driver of the KMB double-decker bus was taken to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital in Tai Po with a back injury, they added.
The others were taken to either Nethersole Hospital or North District Hospital in Sheung Shui.

One person was later transferred to Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin. A woman was later listed as being in a critical condition. Six others were in a serious condition while the other four were stable.
KMB said the passengers and driver were injured after the vehicle collided with the road barrier while approaching the slip road to Kwong Fuk Estate on Tolo Highway.
“KMB is sending staff to comfort the injured and will investigate the incident,” it said.
The firm, Hong Kong’s biggest bus company by fleet size and number of routes, said the driver had a day off on Tuesday. KMB could cooperate with police in the investigation, it added.
