Singapore jails man who pressured 13-year-old girl into adult photo shoot
Details of Tnee Chin Kiat’s offences only came to light after he was arrested for approaching an 11-year-old girl to also model for him

Tnee Chin Kiat was sentenced on Tuesday, after earlier pleading guilty to outraging someone’s modesty, procuring the commission of an indecent act by a child and possessing child abuse material.
The court heard that Tnee took up photography sometime in 2016 or 2017 while working as a flight engineer and studying part-time at Nanyang Technological University.
According to court documents, he approached women and girls whom he found attractive, hoping that they would eventually engage in sexual acts with him.
In 2018, Tnee posted an advertisement on the website Gumtree seeking “young, skinny, petite” girls to pose for his photographs in exchange for money. An 18-year-old – who cannot be named for legal reasons – responded to his advertisement and they met on three occasions over a span of two months.

During the sessions, which lasted about two hours, the victim posed in lingerie provided by Tnee at his NTU dormitory room while he took photographs. He paid her S$200 (US$150) for each session.
