Autumn/winter 2025 highlights include Rabanne’s Julien Dossena presenting a lesson in wearable sparkle, while Schiaparelli’s Daniel Roseberry took a maximalist approach to celebrating his roots

Day four of Paris Fashion Week 2025 was filled with back-to-back shows that couldn’t be more different from each other. This variety is the one of the most appealing aspects of Paris Fashion Week.

Chloé kicked things off with a morning outing that designer Chemena Kamali said was about evolution. Leather jackets paired with slip gowns, lingerie accents, tiered lace dresses and plenty of faux fur trims – accessorised with perforated ballerina flats and gold-embellished handbags – dominated a collection that didn’t rock the boat but was another step towards Chloé’s revitalisation under Kamali.

Rabanne’s Julien Dossena delivered one of his best collections for the house. Riffing on the space-age heritage of the brand, known for its sequins and metallic embellishments, the designer played with textures, juxtaposing materials such as tweed, wool and faux fur with silver sequins, tinsel and more glittery accents. It was a lesson in how to wear sparkle in real life without looking like a Christmas tree.

A dress printed with pills and tablets was a fun and unexpected addition to the line-up. Clad in one of the label’s metallic confections, pop star Chappell Roan sat front row at the show.

Rick Owens, the American in Paris with a rabid fan base, stayed true to his aesthetic with a collection named Concordians, after Concordia, the small Italian town where the factory that makes his clothes is located and that he and his team have been travelling to for 22 years.
