AMBIENCE Convivial. The place was heaving on the Saturday night of our visit, and waiters were rushed off their feet.
COST HK$800 for two, including drinks.
WHO TO BRING  A group of friends, or simply those who love quality, home-made Italian food at affordable prices in a spacious venue.

TURN ONS The starters set the tone. The roasted tomato soup was superb, and the White Gold Bars - home-made fried mozzarella stickers, basil and marinara - were crispy with a delicious sauce, and ideal for sharing. For mains, the 18-inch Brooklyn Special pizza with fresh mozzarella, fried eggplant, roasted garlic, peppers and basil was outstanding, and truly for the ravenous. The tasty grilled chicken, chilli, lardo and honey glaze with organic vegetables and herbs exceeded expectations, though it needs a side dish as the veggie helping was small. We shared the caramel apple pie, a delightful dessert which was not overly sweet, yet admirably crispy.
TURN OFFS Sadly, the Mama Leslie's Ravioli - ricotta ravioli, sweet tomato sauce and basil - which we were eager to try was sold out. And despite having a reservation, we waited about 15 minutes to be seated.
DRINKS Classic cocktails are a forte, plus a compact selection of craft beers and wines.
